Step By Step Agricultural Guide for Modern Farming
Here I am going to share some important points to Start Modern Farming which are as given below.
Soil Test
This is our first step as a modern farmer to check the health of soil on our farm. So, I am telling you that how to check soil health on our farm.
Points to be Consider While Soil Testing
- How to Check Soil Health - It is always advisable to give fertilizer after checking nutrients scale.
- It is important to give typical sample for soil checking.
- Take a separate sample of every department by thinking general about slope, color, downhill, a shell of land.
- If Stones, brash are present on our land or agricultural area then throw it outside of land and digging 31cm X 31cm X 31cm of pit, then throw all soil outside from the pit.
- All four side 2.1 cm thickness soil scribble with help of shovel or scud.
- As usual with the type of soil take 8-9 sample in one acre and for taking sample use shovel, broach, circular tub. Use those things.
- To analyze Micro-Nutrients use sharp end wood pin, plastic tub etc... do not use metal things, tub for that.
- Together that soil and put it to dry inside the shadow and send 1 KG sample to the lab for checking.
What Precautions to Taking Typical Sample for Soil Testing.
- Do not take the soil sample from animal rest place, fertilizer and trash place, well or farming dam, bog or marshy place, below the tree, dug-hill place.
- If crop were present in our field then take sample between two lines and generally take sample of a soil after crop harvesting and by plowing.
- If you spread chemical fertilizer recently in your field then do not take soil sample below 3 months.
- Do not mix different field and farm soil sample together.
- Do not use chemical fertilizer bag for taking soil sample.
- For taking a soil sample take guidance of agricultural assistant.
Send Soil Sample to Lab by following the Given Points :-
- Farmer Name, Full Address and Mobile Number.
- Date Of Taking Sample.
- Survey Number.
- Type of Agriculture (Plantation/Dry)
- Tools of Wetting.
- Type of land (Sand/Clay/Salty/Acidic/Sodic).
- Depth of land (Shallow - 26cm/ Medium - 26 to 51 cm/Depth - 51 to 101 cm/ Over Depth - More than 100 cm)
- Production of crop taken in previous season.
- The fertilizers and their quantity used in previous season.
- The crops which we want to take in next season.

pH of Our Agricultural Land
pH is the scale to know whether our soil is Acidic or Sodic. It helps us to decide nature of soil in our field. If in result pH is 7 then our soil neutral mean neither Acidic nor Sodic.
If more than 7 then the soil is Sodic, if less than 7 then soil is Acidic.
And pH of our soil is in between 6.5-7.5, then the quality of the soil is very good.
It is capable of the growth of different crops..
And more than nutrients are present in our soil.
What Precautions We Need to Take When We Use Salty Water for Our Land.
1. Give Medium Downhill to Our Land
2. Deep Plowing Towards the Downhill
3. Shell Cultivation Towards the Downhill
4. Planted Plants Near Plantat Lines
5. Every-time Cultivate Regularly Towards the Downhill
6. Use Organic Fertilizer and Green Fertilizer in More Quantity
7. Give Water to Crop in Every Week but Limited With Sprinklers
8. If Flat Water Are Available Then Mix It With Salty Water In Same Quantity
9. Wet Plantat Line One by One
10. Use Drip Irrigation, If Quantity of Soluble Sodium is Less Than 3.15 Deci siemens Per Meter in Water
11. Choose Crops Which Able to Fight Against Salts Ex. Wheat, Sorghum, Sugar Cane, Corn Seeds, Sunflower, Barley, Sugar bits, Spinach, Garlic Grass.
12. If Water in Our Field is Very Salty, Do Tree Farming Such as Eucalyptus, Bamboo etc.
